Hello everyone,
This is my first blog post in English and hopefully many more will follow shortly. I am a Reiki Master and an Energy Therapist working in fields of Reiki, Energy Therapy, Law of Attraction, Life Coaching, Relationship Coaching, Career Coaching and Tarot Therapy.
I will take from where I left in Turkish, and tell you about a very valuable childhood memory which goes back to the exact time when I started to grow interest in all things metaphysical.
When I was a kid, my favourite game was to act like a teacher and teach to my imaginary students . Everyday I was teaching my students something new, sometimes I criticisized them and sometimes I congratulated them on their successes. Until, some day I realized that what I had staged the other day at home would happen word by word the next day in school. I thought and naturally knew that imagination was a very powerful tool so I was not surprised at what was happening, but rather I decided to use it purposefully. What I wanted to experience in school, I staged it days before and there it would happen within 1-3 days! It was fun until I realized that I was the only one playing this "game", or rather lets say, aware of the power of the imagination. Being a child who always abided by the rules and remained within the borders of the norms, I stopped playing this game, so the "coincidents" stopped happening until 7-8 years later, when I started my spiritual trainings.
Here, I am inviting you to see the valuable lessons in this memory:
1. We, adults, forgot how powerful our imagination is, we forgot that our imagination is a tool which creates the reality. However ask any child, s/he will tell you that her/his imagination is his/her playground in which s/he can play for hours. Watch the children, they will think about every little detail, as if naturally knowing that it will manifest into something real, they are very serious about their "dreams", so they will give their full attention to whatever they are dreaming about, whereas we, adults, think that day dreaming is a waste of time, we can't even spare 15 minutes to dream about what we really want to experience! It is because we are taught that, the "real life" has no place for dreaming, we have to attack and fight to make something happen. Encourage your children to dream and imagine, it can be only in their mind, or through some tool such as writing or arts, teach them to never let go of their imagination habit, teach them that it is the greatest tool that they can ever use to make their dreams come true, and thus, that they should dream for the "best".
2. Never tell your children about what they will meet in "real life". That word is destructive, when you speak about a real life, the kid will think what s/he currently has is temporary, her/his hapiness, her/his sense of security and so on are a lie. S/he will think that, spending time with imagination and dreaming is "childish" and that it should stop when s/he enters the "real life". And that is exactly what happens, you are unintentionally taking away all the natural "super" powers away from your children, as it was taken away from us once we were kids. We were told that we would struggle in real life, and most of us did! We were told that childhood is the best stage of life where there is innocence, freedom and pure happiness, which meant that adults do not get these for free! And most of us didn't.
3. The reason why I got super fast results when I was using the Law of Attraction (which at the time was just an ordinary game for me) is because that I had no resistance coming from my ego. Today, if anyone gets a result in "weeks", it is considered as super fast, we usually work for months and sometimes even for years to manifest our desires. It is because of the ego, as we grow up, the ego starts to receive information around its surroundings more than ever, and it is when it starts to tell you what you can or cannot do. A child does not know what is achievable or what is not, everything is possible for him/her until s/he is told otherwise. Your child will socialize and as s/he does it is best for her/him to follow the general rules of the group, however, this should not stop you from telling him/her that, no matter what s/he hears from friends or strangers or adults, s/he should never stop listening to his/her inner voice, or analysing his/her emotions and discharge and transform all negative feelings as necessary. This can be done through writing, painting, making or listening to music, sports, meditation, or by just merely focused thinking. But of course, a child will first copy his/her parents, you better start doing what I am telling here yourself first!
4. Today, at the age of 32, when I focus on the Law of Attraction studies, I do not always go grab a trusted book, instead I go back to my childhood when I was practicing the Law of Attraction as a natural hobby. I remember what I did to turn on the engines of the universe, and I repeat. Go back to a memory, where you remember getting exactly what you have thought, how were your feelings, what actions did you take at the time? Analyse it, then repeat.
Going back to my childhood memory, let's see which methods I was using:
- I was not only dreaming about what I wanted, I was acting out, I was reharsing the experience before it happened. It was surely a game, but I felt the experience with all my senses during the game. It was what made it so much fun. I had a chance to be someone else, I had a chance to be anyone I wanted, I had a chance to invent "experiences" and it was so much fun. You need full focus and tight attention on your goal, you need to think about every detail and you have to enjoy doing it.
- When I noticed that my game was turning into reality, I wasn't shocked. I instinctively knew that the imagination was the ultimate most powerful tool one can ever have in their life (or so I thought until I was told otherwise) so I naturally directed my own little orchestra the way I wanted to hear the music. You should not doubt your manifestation power, it is a natural ability which everyone has from the time of their birth, you just forget about it when you grow up. We are not creating miracles here, there is no such things as a miracle, there is only focused thought.
- I was keeping the fact that I was manifesting things from everybody else, that is how my childhood memory survived upto this day, if I were to tell everyone what I was capable of anyone would tell me that it was not possible, which would shut me down even at a younger age, and my memory would not survive the tides of time. Do not tell your dreams to everybody, the more information you will receive from people, the more your ego will record them and use them against you, do not break the energy you put on your dreams, the more you tell about them the more you will be affected by other's opinions.
With love and light;
Irem
